KZ PRX: work out what 94±3dB means before you pick a source
Source check first — Good for: buyers prepared to check an output rating before choosing a planar IEM. Watch for: KZ prints 94±3dB without saying per milliwatt or per volt, so it cannot be ranked directly against either convention.
A 94dB sensitivity figure with no stated reference basis
Across the sixteen models catalogued here, sensitivity figures cluster between 107 and 123dB. KZ's 94±3dB for the PRX sits roughly 15dB below that cluster, and the spec sheet gives a bare dB without saying whether it is referenced to 1mW or 1V. That distinction is not cosmetic: at 15Ω the same driver reads about 18dB higher under a 1V reference than under a 1mW one, so the figure only lines up against another brand once you know which convention applies.
Buy only after checking the sensitivity basis and your source
PRX belongs on a shortlist when planar architecture is the reason you are shopping and you can verify the output available from your dongle, laptop or desktop source. The published 94±3dB has no stated measurement basis, so it cannot prove that PRX is hard or easy to drive. For a lower price-band reference, compare GK KUNTEN, which publishes 43Ω and 109dB/mW for a single dynamic driver. The useful distinction is planar versus dynamic architecture and disclosed versus undisclosed sensitivity basis, not a claim that either sounds the same.

Manufacturer: KZ · Source checked:
The inspected source lists sensitivity in dB without identifying a per-mW or per-volt reference. The displayed value is retained as a quotation, not a normalized comparison.
— means the inspected source does not establish a reliable value.
Price bands are historical directory categories, not current offers. Confirm the exact model, nozzle, cable, local price and return terms with the seller.
