Meze Alba: matching a $15 set on paper at seven times the price
Premium checkpoint — Good for: buyers deciding whether a $100–$200 single dynamic is worth considering beyond headline electrical specs. Watch for: 32Ω and 109dB SPL/mW describe load and level, not build, service, fit or sound quality.
Identical sensitivity to a budget set, so where does the money go
Alba's 109dB SPL/mW at 1kHz is the same figure GK prints for the KUNTEN, which sells for roughly a seventh as much, and its 32Ω sits in the ordinary range. Sensitivity and impedance describe how loud a driver plays for a given input — they say nothing about shell machining tolerance, cable hardware, accessory quality or after-sales terms, which is where a $100-plus price is actually spent. The 10.8mm diaphragm is the one number that genuinely departs from the pack: almost every other dynamic in this library is 10mm flat, and that 0.8mm buys around 17 percent more radiating area.
Choose Alba only if the non-spec package earns the premium
Alba is the candidate for buyers who value the manufacturer, physical finish, accessories or after-sales path enough to investigate them separately; its published impedance and sensitivity alone do not explain the price band. Compare GK KUNTEN to see the same 109dB/mW figure attached to a lower-price single dynamic with 43Ω. That is a value and architecture comparison, not proof of equal tuning, comfort, durability or sound. Verify the current contents, warranty and seller terms before deciding where the premium belongs.
Sources and specification limits
GK AudioLab publishes GK product information. Comparisons involving GK models are brand-authored; source specifications are not independent listening tests.

Sensitivity is stated per milliwatt. Preserve any stated test frequency and tolerance; it is not directly comparable with a per-volt figure.
— means the inspected source does not establish a reliable value.
Price bands are historical directory categories, not current offers. Confirm the exact model, nozzle, cable, local price and return terms with the seller.
