GK KUNTEN PRO Product Lab: Fit, Connectors and Evidence
A whole-product guide to KUNTEN PRO: published design and electrical specs, fit checks, 3.5mm and Type-C variants, and the evidence to verify before ordering.
Start with the complete earphone
GK KUNTEN PRO is a single-driver wired IEM built around the 10mm KUN 2 dynamic driver. The supplied GK sheet also names a dual-stage damping filter, a transparent shell, a skeletal metal faceplate and a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable. This Lab guide helps you check how those parts meet your needs. It does not report our own listening or laboratory measurements.
For voice-coil travel, magnetic drive and damping mechanics, read the separate KUN 2 engineering guide. This article focuses on fit, connection and buying decisions for the finished product.
Fit and shell: inspect, then try
The GK images show the transparent housing and metal faceplate, but a photo cannot establish comfort, isolation or how securely the shell sits in a particular ear. A stable ear-tip seal can change perceived bass and outside-noise leakage. If the first tip feels loose or painful, try another compatible size and check both ears separately at a comfortable volume. Do not infer an open-back design or a fixed isolation rating from the visible faceplate alone.
Choose the source connector before the cable color
The product material lists 3.5mm and Type-C source-plug options. Choose 3.5mm for a compatible analog headphone output; for Type-C, check the exact phone or computer, microphone needs and seller's compatibility description. The supplied sheet does not specify the Type-C electronics or guarantee every device's button and call functions. The 0.78mm 2-pin connection is at the earpiece end: a shared pin spacing does not by itself guarantee that every replacement cable has the right housing, polarity or fit.
The observed seller listing offers Matte Black and Champagne Gold with microphone and no-microphone options. These are separate choices on the marketplace page. Selecting an option here does not preselect the same option on AliExpress; check it again before paying.
Read the numbers within their limits
GK lists 43Ω impedance, 109dB/mW sensitivity at 1kHz and a nominal 20–40000Hz frequency range. The first two describe electrical load and a sensitivity reference. They do not guarantee a particular volume on every phone. The frequency limits do not show response flatness, audible extension or distortion. GK's frequency-response graphic is a manufacturer measurement; comparison with another IEM needs matched methods and disclosed test conditions.
A useful order check
- Confirm the exact KUNTEN PRO model, shell color, 3.5mm or Type-C plug, and microphone option.
- Read the seller identity and the current accessory list; product graphics and customer comments do not replace the selected SKU description.
- Check the delivered total, destination availability, returns and warranty terms at checkout. A dated reference price on this site is not the final amount.
- When the earphones arrive, check shell comfort, tip seal and the functions you need within the applicable return period.
Use the KUNTEN PRO product page for the current seller link and the published specification guide for GK's stated values. The generation comparison identifies hardware changes without declaring a listening winner.
